By using the Apollo SV-2 tinted lens mask divers have the opportunity to experience the colors of the underwater world that are often lost at depth
This colour shift is due to the increased density of water and its natural filtering of light, which alters the wavelength of light as it passes through. The deeper the water, the greater the colour shift. As you descend, reds, oranges and yellows are quickly lost from the visible spectrum
The red tinted lens works to restore the red potions of the color spectrum that is filtered away as you descend to depth the results is a much more natural color response. The red filters out blue wavelengths in the water, allowing your eyes to see the brilliant reds, oranges, yellows, greens and violets
The yellow tinted lens serves to greatly improve the color contrast in murky water or low-visibility conditions, this results in improved visibility distance in these conditions.
Using the yellow tinted lens will optimize available light and improve visibility
